The first volume of a Hebrew-Arabic dictionary of the Bible by Solomon L. Skoss, professor of Arabic at Dropsie College, has been issued by the Yale University Press as one of the volumes of the Yale Oriental Series in memory of Alexander Kohut.
The dictionary, known as “Kitab Jami al-Alfaz,” was edited from manuscripts in the State Public Library in Leningrad and the Bedleian Library in Oxford. The volume is the sixth to be published from the Kohut Memorial Fund established by members of his family.
