Award of the four Lucius F# Robinson Latin prizes to four Jewish students after competitive examinations, is announced at Yale University.
First prize went to Richard Max Seigel, of New Haven. Morris Edward Tonken, of Hartford, was second. Irving Israel Freedhand, of Groton, Conn., was first in the sophomore class competition, and Abraham Samuel Pardoll, of New Haven, second.
