Yasser Arafat said Israel and the Palestinians have reached tentative agreement on a timetable for Israeli withdrawals from the West Bank, according to a member of a congressional delegation that met Thursday with the Palestinian leader. Arafat told the delegation that the issue of the release of Palestinian prisoners is unresolved, but that “there is tentative agreement on other major and minor issues,” Rep. Gene Green (D-Texas) told JTA.
