The first large consignment of oranges from this year’s bumper crop left here today for England. The shipment consisted of 27,000 boxes which are being shipped via Jaffa, Port Said and Haifa. The shipment for the entire year is expected to reach 2,500,000 boxes.

Average prices are expected in the English market as compared with the low prices of last year. The price is better this year owing to the reduced Spanish crop.
