Yehuda Dominitz was named this week director of the Jewish Agency’s Aliya Department, succeeding Gen. (Ret.) Uzi Narkiss. His appointment, by Executive chairman Leon Dulzin, was unanimously approved by the Executive. Dominitz, 52, is highly regarded for his experience and expertise in dealing with aliya from “sensitive” countries whose governments take a negative view of Zionist endeavors. He joined the Jewish Agency in 1946 and served as deputy director of the Aliya Department before his appointment to the top post.
