The appointment of Yehuda Gill as North American director of the Government of Israel Investment Authority was announced today by Israel’s Economic Minister to the United States, Nachum Shamir. Mr. Gill succeeds Abraham R. Taiber, who served in that post since September 1961.
Mr. Gill was born in Israel and graduated with an LL.B; degree in Law from the University of Tel Aviv. Prior to Israel’s War of Liberation, he was a member of the Haganah and later served in both the Infantry and Air Force as a captain. In his most recent post in Israel, in the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Gill was in charge of bringing new industries into Development Areas, where priority is being given to establishment of industry.
