The director of a Yemenite immigrant camp was slightly wounded here today in a clash between the immigrants and the guards and officials of the camp. The Yemenite immigrants were quieted only after the intervention of police detachments which were urgently summoned from Hadera and nearby settlements.
The incident occurred following the arrival of two religious youths from the Bnai Brak colony who requested permission to visit the Yemenite camp. They were detained by the guards when they could not produce identity documents. This resulted in a protest on the part of the camp inmates which developed into the fight.
