Fifty members of the Yeshiva College Alumni Association comprising the graduates of the Yeshiva who are now occupying pulpits of leading Orthodox Congregations, have undertaken to take an active part in the $250,000 Emergency Campaign of their Alma Mater. The Yeshiva College, which is recognized as a leading Orthodox institution for higher learning, is now confronted with a serious financial problem and the fund sought was declared as urgently necessary to secure its proper functioning during 1930.
The Alumni Association of which Rabbi Nachman H. Ebin, Rabbi of Congregation Sons of Israel, Brooklyn, New York, is the chairman and Rabbi H. Reichman of the Bronx Y.M.H.A., is secretary, has delegated its members to tour the country in behalf of the Emergency Campaign. The country was divided into ten zones. Samuel L. Sar, registrar of the Yeshiva, is in charge of the Alumni tour.
