One hundred and thirty degrees and diplomas in course —the largest number in the school’s history—and four honorary degrees were conferred by Yeshiva University today at the 20th annual commencement exercises.
Dr. Samuel Belkin, president, presided at the exercises and conferred honorary degrees upon James G. McDonald, first United States Ambassador to Israel–Doctor of laws; Dr. Lowis A. Wilson, New York State Commissioner of Education–Doctor of Humane Letters; Professor Simcha Assaf, Justice of the Israeli Supreme Court–Doctor of Laws; and Rabbi Dr. Jacob Hoffman, former chief rabbi of Frankfurt-Am-Main, Germany–Doctor of Divinity. Mr. McDonald delivered the commencement address.
