Yeshivah University is prepared to open its proposed medical school in 1952, it was revealed here last night at a dinner marking the 20th anniversary of the founding of the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It was estimated that a sum of $6,000,000 would be needed to bring the new school into existence.
The formal presentation of the University’s annual $1,000 Mordecai Ben David Award was made last night to Israeli Chief Rabbi Dr. Isaac Herzog and was accepted in his behalf by a member of the Israeli mission to the U.S. The award is made annually for an “outstanding contribution to Jewish life.”
