The Yiddish Communist daily newspaper “Heint” suspended publication today following the refusal of a congressional commission to grant it any further allotment of newsprint. Other Communist newspapers have also been refused newsprint.
Neither of the other two daily Yiddish newspapers has been affected. The only other Jewish newspaper which is being closed because of a lack of newsprint is the Zionist periodical “Hatikvah,” published by the Hungarian Jewish community here.
