Two Yiddish courses have been added to the curriculum of the University of California here, it was announced today. The courses, for which students will receive full academic credit, consist of a language and a literature survey and will be offered during the coming summer semester. Dr. Max Weinreich, scientific director of the Yiddish Scientific Institute (YIVO) in New York, will serve as instructor.
