A new Yiddish daily, the Freind, has started publication in Warsaw. It is issued by the famous Kletzkin Verlag, and the editors are Alter Kozina and Salmen Reisen.
The Freind revives the name of the first and most widespread Yiddish daily in the old Russian Empire. The first issue appeared in Petersburg on January 15, 1903, and it was transferred to Warsaw in 1910, where it appeared till the early days of the war.
