The National Yiddish Theatre of Poland recently gave two performances in Leipzig, East Germany, receiving enthusiastic applause from capacity audiences in the Leipzig Opera House, according to East German sources. At the first of the performances given by the Yiddish players from Warsaw, 80 percent of the audience consisted of German youth, a report declared. Bravos were shouted, and there was, reportedly, special acclaim for the principal members of the Polish-Yiddish troupe, including Ida Kaminska, H. Buzgan, Meir Meiman and Rivkah Schiller.
