Improvement in the food situation in Russia is seen in the announcement that the All Russian Jewish Relief Committee, briefly known as the “Yidgescom” is liquidating its service abroad for the sale of food parcel drafts to Russia.
The organization, which is dependent in great measure on American support, will maintain intact its service for shipment of clothing parcels and money transfers.
As a result of the curtailment of its activities the Yidgescom plans an reduction in its personnel both in American and European branches.
