Dedication Sunday afternoon of the new home of the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association of Washington Heights, at 178th street and Fort Washington avenue on the George Washington Bridge plaza, will mark the beginning of a week’s program devoted to the various phases of the group’s activities.
On the speakers’ list for the occasion, which signalizes completion of the expansion and remodeling of the building leased recently from the Port Authority, are Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia, George Z. Medalie, former Attorney General; Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, executive director of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies; Harry L. Glucksman, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Board; M. Maldwin Fertig, president of the Metropolitan League of Jewish Community Associations, and Frank L. Weil, president of the Ninety-second Street Young Men’s Hebrew Association.
