Yosef Almogi, a leading member of Israel’s Parliament and campaign manager of Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion’s Mapai party during the recent parliamentary elections, arrived here today on a month-long speaking tour of the United States on behalf of the National Committee for Labor Israel.
The Committee will hold next week-end its 36th annual convention at the Commodore Hotel here, at which a $5,000,000 nation-wide drive to aid Israel’s pioneering workers and new immigrants will be inaugurated. Mr. Almogi will be one of the guest speakers at the convention, which will be attended by close to 3,000 delegates from all parts of the United States and Canada.
