The annual mid-winter conference of the National Council of Young Israel will be held Sunday at Yeshiva College, 186th street and Amsterdam avenue, it was announced yesterday.
Borough President Samuel Levy, Dr. Bernard Revel, dean of Yeshiva College, and other leading educators and personalities in Jewish life are expected to attend the one-day conference. Moses H. Hoenig, president of the council, will preside.
Among the topics to be discussed on Sunday are, creation of a central body to suggest a uniform curriculum of Jewish education in Talmud Torahs; the Young Israel movement in colleges and universities; nationalization of the movement, and a plan to take advantage of a plot of ground bequeathed the organization in Tel Aviv on which to erect a Young Israel center.
Those who will discuss the special topics are Morris Lifschitz, Jacob O. Zabronsky, Dr. David Katzoff, Pincus B. Soller and Mr. Hoenig.
