A large increase in membership was reported yesterday at the annual mid-winter conference of the Eastern branches of the National Council of Young Israel, which was held here at the Jewish Community Center. The conference was attended by more than 300 delegates and guests, representing some 60 branches of the organization.
The conference ended with a hanquet at which the principal speakers were President Moses H. Hoenig. Judge Morris Barison, Rabbi David Stern, Louis Kriegel and William H. Werblowski.
