Herbert Bruen, 29-year-old Palestinian composer who is the winner of the Esco Foundation award for study this summer at the Berkshire Music Center, Lenox, Mass., arrived in New York today from Israel. The award includes round-trip transportation from Palestine to the U.S., as well as advanced composition study with Aaron Copland, noted American composer.
