Minority groups, frequently the victims of bad intergroup relations, are themselves in need of education to improve group understanding and special measures should be taken to provide this kind of education, it was recommended at the concluding session of a five-day youth conference held at Camp Wel-Met here.
The conference was sponsored by the National Conference of Christians and Jews, in cooperation with the American Jewish Committee. It was attended by college student leaders and others representing Catholic, Jewish and Protestant youth groups, including representatives of campus clubs, student councils and community councils. During the sessions, the conference reviewed the factors at work in this country which hinder the development of amicable relations among the racial, national and religious groups in American life.
