American Jewry was today urged to continue to provide programs of assistance for overseas Jews by Dr. Judah Shapiro, director of the Educational and Cultural Reconstruction program of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Addressing the seventh annual assembly here of the National Jewish Youth Conference, sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board, Dr. Shapiro said that continued American assistance is needed for the re-establishment of Jewish communities in Western Europe, for emergency aid to Jews in North Africa, and for the building and security of Israel.
