Bnai Akiva, the youth section of Hapoel-Hamizrachi, the religious labor Zionist organization, held a four-day national convention here over the week-end. More than 300 delegates representing 7,000 members in the United States and Canada attended the convention.
Israel Immigration Minister Moshe Shapira, a leader of the world Hapoel Hamizrachi movement, cabled a message to the conference calling on American Jewish youth to “meet the challenge for Chalutzic manpower.” The message added that this “historic mission has already been partially accomplished by your organization.”
