The Evening Standard reported from Tirana today that Yugoslavia had ordered the expulsion of all Jewish refugees from Germany and Italy. Most of the refugees have already been deported, the dispatch said, and the frontier has been closed to “non-Aryans” bearing German passports. The expulsions were allegedly carried out by the Department of the Interior under order of former Minister of Interior Koroshetz. Some of the refugees were turned back to Germany while others were temporarily jailed.
