Three prizes totaling $1,000 have just been awarded by the Zionst Organization of America to the winners selected by Eddie Canter, Moss Hart and Norman Cerwin in a National Playwriting Contest sponsered by the organization. The presentation was made by Mr. Bonjamin G. Browdy, president, at special coremonies at his offices in New York.

The first prize of $500 was awarded to Elihu Winor, of New York, for his drama, “Action in Jezreel.” The second prize went to Rabbi Louis I. Newman, of New York, for “Son Of His Generation” and the third prize to Dr. Harry T. Zankol, of Cleveland, for “Twilight Sleep.” Second and third prizes were for $250 each. Under terms of the competition, plays were to deal with the problem of developing a full and meaningful Jewish life in the United States or elsewhere.
