Dissatisfaction with the. World Confederation of General Zionists was expressed here today at a meeting of the national executive committee of the Zionist Organization of America by Jacques Torczyner, chairman of the ZOA World Zionist Affairs Committee.

“The Zionist Organization of America,” Mr. Torczyner said, “is not interested in continuing its participation in the World Confederation of General Zionists as it is constituted today. We feel that the Confederation does not now reflect the true strength of the world General Zionist movement as a dynamic force on the world scene. The ZOA delegation to the Zionist Congress is a very strong one, and it can really make itself felt at the congress if it takes a militant position on the problems, of the hour.”

Dr. Emanuel Neumann, chairman of the ZOA national executive, appealed to the United States Government to make defensive arms available to Israel. “Surely our own government must now recognize that such defensive arms must be provided to Israel, not merely for Israel’s sake, but to protect American interests from being further under mined throughout the Middle East,” Dr. Neumann stated. “The zero hour is almost at hand Six months of deliberation on policy must surely have sufficed to produce a program of action to stave off disaster. We cannot afford delay.”
