The appointment of Charles Rosengarten, of Waterbury, Conn., prominent veteran Zionist, as national chairman of the American Zionist Fund, fund-raising arm of the Zionist Organization of America, was announced today by Dr. Max Nussbaum, president of the organization.
Funds raised by the AZF are devoted to the maintenance and financing of the projects of the ZOA on the American scene and its two major projects in Israel–the ZOA House in Tel Aviv and Kfar Silver, agricultural training institute near Ashkelon, with an enrollment of 310 students, boys and girls between the ages of 14 to 17. It is the only American chartered high school in Israel approved by the Board of Regents of the State of New York.
