The Zionist Organization of America has voted a sum of money to defray the expenses of the transportation to and burial in Palestine of Professor Boris Schatz, prominent Jewish sculptor and founder of the Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts, whose body has remained in a Denver mortuary since his death in March.

The body was embalmed after his death and the Zionist Organization is awaiting instructions from Professor Schatz’s son, Bezalel Schatz, who is now in Hollywood, regarding the transport of the body.

Yesterday, according to the statement, a letter was received from young Schatz, in Hollywood, advising of his immediate departure for New York, in order to convey the wishes of the family with regard to the burial of the body.

The statement of the Zionist Organization says further that at a meeting of the Actions Committee in London last month a pension for life was voted the widow of Professor Schatz.

Simultaneously the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns that a Committee has been formed to raise contributions for “A Schatz Burial Fund” to transport the body to Palestine, of which Charles Shohl of Cincinnati is the treasurer.
