As the Graf Zeppelin soars over the city of Tel-Aviv on its Palestine flight, its passengers will join in the Purim festivities Which all Palestine celebrates with great gaiety today.
A radio message was received by the Berlin office of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today from Dr. Herman Badt, Ministerial Director of the German Cabinet, who is a passenger aboard the Zeppelin. “Birchath Zion” (Greetings from Zion) was the message, despatched from the Zeppelin by Dr. Badt when they reached Palestine.
Fifteen kilograms of confetti, and fireworks, were taken along by Dr. Eckener from Berlin for the purpose of joining from the air the Tel-Aviv inhabitants in their Purim celebration.
Dr. Badt was the winner in the first chess tournament aboard the Zeppelin, where a chess club was formed with Dr. Eckener as president.
