Zavel Zilberts, composer of Jewish choral music and traditional melodies and conductor of the Zilberts Choral Society of this city and New York, was feted here by members of these groups and persons active in the civic life of the community.

Mayor Ellnstein was represented by Aaron Levinstone, prominent Zionist. Other speakers included Rabbi Solomon Foster, Dr. R. A. Lastett Smith, head of the music department of Central High School and Abraham Silverstein, representing the local press.
