Passenger liners of the Zim Israel Navigation Company increased their share of United States-Israel traffic eight per cent during the first eight months of this year, the American-Israeli Shipping Company, American representatives of the line, reported today.
During that period, the company accounted for 81 per cent of the total sea-borne passenger traffic on the New York-Israel route, compared with 74 per cent during the same period in 1962. By the end of last August, Zim liners on all routes carried 70,838 passengers, of whom 9,824 were carried in trans-Atlantic service and 61,014 un Mediterranean and other routes.
