The first Jewish world convention to be held in Palestine was announced here today by the WIZO, Jewish Women’s Zionist Organization, which has its headquarters in this city.
The announcement states that the WIZO, representing 60,000 Jewish women, will hold its annual world convention in Palestine to consider problems of Zionist activities for women. The convention will open in Tel Aviv on March 24 and will continue for seven days. More than 150 delegates are expected to participate.
Special attention will be given by the convention to the problem of the immigration of Jewish girls and women to Palestine. This problem has been very serious because of the difficulties which Jewish girls experience in their efforts to enter Palestine.
