What is described as a “reign of terror” here is the constant dogging of orange growers and their families and their beating up by workmen incensed at the employment of Arabs. Several cases of this sort, as well as the deliberate cutting of long rows of wire-fence around a grove, are reported by the Farmers’ Committee of this colony in its latest statement.
The committee reported an incident outside the house of one grower, Maller, when fifteen Jewish workmen of the Hakovesh Kibbutz, shouted, “Blood will flow, and we shall lose nothing.” The Kfar Saba Agricultural Committee announced to the Yishuv that it will not be responsible for the sabotage and incitement conducted by the labor council of the settlement, and accused Davar, Hebrew daily, of giving room to such inciting statements.
According to Doar Hayom, the pickets were called off following a visit to the colony by D. Ben- Gurion, of the Jewish Agency Executive, who is a member of the Executive Council of the Histadruth.
