President Zalman Shazar, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, and Yaacov Tsur, chairman of the Zionist movement’s Actions Committee, eulogized the late Moshe Sharett last night at services honoring Mr. Sharett’s memory conducted here by the Actions Committee.
Mr. Sharett was lauded for his services as Israel’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and as chairman of the Jewish Agency’s executive. President Shazar noted that, in spite of his many activities, Mr. Sharett’s career had “never had a spot.” Dr. Goldmann said that Mr. Sharett’s assumption of the Agency executive chairmanship, after serving Israel as Prime Minister, “amounted to the Zionists to confirmation of the greatness of their movement.”
