One hundred Arab and leftist sympathizers demonstrated here yesterday in memory of pro-Palestinian activist Mohamed Boudia. Police hinted that the 41-year-old Algerian member of El Fatah was assassinated. Boudia was killed here Thursday when a bomb exploded in his car. Police at that time thought he was the victim of a bomb he was carrying.
According to the “Journal Du Dimanche,” the Paris Public Prosecutor has lodged a complaint “against unknown persons for voluntary homicide.” The paper says police now believe the bomb was placed in Boudia’s car. exploding when Boudia sat down in the car.
The paper quoted the Palestinian Information Agency, “WATA” as saying this type of bomb is used by the Israeli secret services. The paper “L’Aurore” says the bomb was “a new type of explosive capable of going off without being wired to a car.”
The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) accused “Zionist assassins” of Boudia’s death and attacked France “For allowing them to carry out their work with impunity.” In a communique, the PLO said Boudia was killed “by those who killed Mahmoud el Hamchari (PLO representative in France) and Basil Kubaissi. Hamchari was killed last Nov. by a bomb wired to his telephone, while Kubaissi was shot down last April in the heart of Paris. Police have not yet confirmed whether Boudia was a member of the European-leaders of Black September.
