The Zionist General Council’s Palestine commission has approved by a majority the proposals of the Executive for combating the Palestine land ordinance, it was announced in a communique today. The commission also heard Chairman Menachem M. Ussishkin eulogize the late Dr. Cyrus Adler and Sir Osmond D’Avigdor Goldsmid.
With neighboring Arab and Jewish settlers present, the cornerstone was laid Friday for the first nine permanent houses at the Jewish colony of Daphneh, in the extreme north of Palestine. A scroll placed in the cornerstone says: “We will continue upbuilding despite restrictions.”
