The budget for World Zionist activities as approved yesterday by the special session of the Zionist Actions Committee totals $2,344,000, it was announced here today.
At the same time the Jewish National Fund headquarters here announced that the income of the JNF for the first quarter of this fiscal year, beginning last October, was $784,000, which is a substantial increase over the similar quarter last year. More than 63 percent of the income came from the United States.
At Palestine Industrial Council composed of the most important enterprises in the country was formed today with leading Jewish industrialists as its leaders. At the organization’s first meeting speakers stressed that it would have three chief aims: to facilitate amicable relations between labor and industry; to submit recommendations to the Palestine government on questions affecting industry and labor; and to promote industrial welfare, social insurance and similar legislation.
The Palestine press today carries advertisements of the Abyssinia Electric Corporation asking for specialists to assist in the erection and management of power stations there.
