At a public session to be held here on Monday, the Zionist Congress court, acting as a court of honor, under the chairmanship of Dr. S. Groneman, will hear the case of Reuben Brainin, Hebrew writer of New York, against Chaim Nachman Bialik, Hebrew poet of Tel Aviv.
Mr. Bialik, in a statement he issued some time ago following a conference of Hebrew writers in Tel Aviv, charged Mr. Brainin with “treason” to the Zionist movement and Jewish national interests because of his advocacy of support for the Jewish colonization work in Russia.
Mr. Brainin recently returned from a tour in South Africa, where he enlisted aid for the Russian colonization work in a public campaign for funds. Mr. Bialik, who is recuperating from a recent illness and operation, will act as his own counsel before the party court.
