The latest developments in the Near East, insofar as they affect Palestine, as well as the Jewish attitude toward the projected pan-Arab Federation in which Palestine is to be included, will be discussed here at a session of the Small Zionist Actions Committee called for Tuesday, it was announced here today following the report from London that Dr. Weizmann has had important conferences there with Foreign Minister Anthony Eden and Colonial Secretary Lord Moyne.
A “Day for Polish Jewry” was proclaimed here today by the Jewish Agency for September 1st, the day in 1959 when Poland was invaded by the Nazi army. Prayers for Polish Jewry will be held on that day in all synagogues throughout Palestine, and meetings will be arranged at which the tragic position of Polish Jews under the Nazi occupation will be reviewed.
