The “stupefying ineptitude” of the State Department in relation to the Palestine situation was denounced here tonight by Dr. Emannel humann, president of the Zionist Organization of America, addressing a rally of ?000 metropolitan Zionist leaders and ?y workers. Dr. Neumann added that the Jewish people will not “tamely submit” to any new solution and that any attempt to ?prive them of their independence under the guise of trusteeship or any other plan Zionist by implemented by “overwhelming military force.”
Dr. Israel Goldstein, hand of the United Palestine Appeal, who together with ?. Neumann just returned from a meeting of the Zionist Actions Committee in Tel Aviv, ?ld the rally that “the Jews of Palestine are confident of their ability to meet the Arab th?, and they have demonstrated that their confidence is not misplaced, not a ?le Jewish position has been evacuated.” He also stated that the Jews of Palestine ?e ## by the American public’s unfavorable reaction to the U.S. Government’s #### partition.
