A Zionist meeting in Miriampol addressed by Deputy Mayor Dov Hos of Tel Aviv, Palestine, last night ended in hand-to-hand fights in which knives and revolvers were allegedly used after the meeting had been attacked by Betarim members of the Brith Trumpeldor, opposition right-wing Zionist organization.
Several persons were injured on both sides. Three members of the Brith Trumpeldor were arrested. Mr. Hos, escaping during the affray through a side door, was pursued by the right-wing Zionists through the streets until he was rescued by police.
As a result of the clash meetings in provincial towns scheduled to be addressed next Sunday and Monday by Mr. Hos were cancelled in fear of further disorders. Mr. Hos is a leader of the laborite Zionists.
