Reliable reports received here today from Bulgaria state that a number of Zionists, mostly members of the New Zionist Organization, have been arrested in Sofia, charged with conducting secret emigration of Bulgarian Jews to Turkey with a view of later securing passage for them to Palestine.
The reports also inform that Baron Guttman, who was one of the largest Jewish industrialists in Yugoslavia, has been arrested and all his property and factories confiscated by the government of the Nazi puppet-state of Croatia.
The Utro, a Bulgarian newspaper reaching here today, reports that a Bulgarian version of the anti-Semitic film “The Eternal Jew” is now being shown all over Bulgaria. The first showing took place in Sofia last week at the Gloria theatre.
