NEW DONATIONS PERMIT YESHIVAH TIPHERETH JERUSALEM TO RE-OPEN AND CONTINUE CHARITABLE WORK
Donations received by the Yeshivah Tiphereth Jerusalem, Hebrew School at 145 East Broadway, which was forced to close last week because it lacked funds to pay its thirty teachers, will permit the school to reopen six of its twenty-four classes today, according to Philip Wattenberg, treasurer of a committee organized to meet the emergency. Mr. Wattenberg said about $5,000 of the $15,000 needed has been collected. The school is a charitable institution, furnishing food, clothing, medical care and free tuition to many of its pupils.
