The annual election of officers of the Lynn Zionist District was held this week with Abraham Goldberg, orator and publicist, as guest speaker. Mr. Goldberg urged that all efforts be exerted in the hope of strengthening the Z.O.A., and expressed the hope that a united front of American Zionists be realized by encouraging further negotiations with the Brandeis group.
The officers elected for the coming year of the Lynn district were: honorary president, Henry L. Yozell; president, Willy Nordwind; vice-president, Abraham S. Burg; treasurer, Louis Ravven; secretary, Herbert M. Leavitt. In order to stimulate an interest in Zionist work in Lynn, there was elected a membership committee, consisting of the officers, together with Mrs. Henry Yozell, the chairman of the sisterhood of the Lynn Temple, and other leading Jews and Jewesses of the community.
