Louis Lipsky, President of the Zionist Organization of American, will be honored on his arrival from London at a testimonial dinner at the Hotel Astor on May 22nd, on the occasion of his fiftieth anniversary and to mark the completion of a quarter of a century of his Zionist service.
Announcement of the dinner was made by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, chairman of the Louis Lipsky Jubilee Committee. Dr. Wise will act as toastmaster at the dinner.
The dinner is planned as the first of a series of testimonials throughout the country in honor of Mr. Lipsky, the celebrations being sponsored by the committee headed by Dr. Wise, with Emannuel Neumann, chairman of the executive committee of the United Palestine Appeal, as honorary secretary and Isidore D. Morrison as treasurer.
In tribute of Mr. Lipsky’s twenty-five years of service to Zionism, the Louis Lipsky Jubilee Committee announced the publication of his selected works in three volumes, containing essays on Zionism, plays and stories of Jewish life. The first volume is to contain a preface by Dr. Wise and an introduction by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization.
