Yesterday’s Jewish Community elections in which 25,000 votes were cast, about 50% of the number entitled to vote, resulted in the election of a Zionist majority.
The Zionist parties together received twenty-one of the thirty-six mandates, while the Oesterreichisch Israelitische Union won fifteen places. The seats are divided as follows: General Zionists, 14 seats including three Revisionists with whom they formed a bloc; Poale Zion, 4; Mizrachi, one; Zionist impartial group, one; Radical Zionists, one.
