ZOA Executive Hears Reports on Important Zionist Negotiations in Washington

Reports indicating that important negotiations are being conducted by American Zionist leaders in Washington were presented to the first session of the newly elected executive of the Zionist Organization of America held here, it was announced today by the ZOA office. Members of the executive from various parts of the country participated in the session.

Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, chairman of the American Zionist Emergency Council, reported on his talks with important government officials in Washington concerning Jewish demands regarding Palestine. He also reported on the steps taken to intensify the activities of the Emergency Council in connection with the drive by the Zionist movement against the White Paper and for wider Jewish rights in Palestine. Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the ZOA, criticized the statement on the White Paper made last week in the House of Commons by Colonial Secretary Col. Oliver Stanley and pointed out that American protests can still force the abrogation of the White Paper.
