Zondek Delivers Child of Woman Wounded in Jerusalem Bombing

A pregnant woman who was among several Jews seriously wounded in yesterday’s bombing near the Bikur Cholim Hospital was today safely delivered by the noted gynecologist. Prof. Bernhard Zondek, who is co-discoverer of the famous Ascheim-Zondek pregnancy test. The woman is Mrs. Sonya Haus, 25

It was officially announced that a gang described by Arab villagers as consisting of Jews dynamited a house in Idniba south of Rehoboth.

A nine month prison sentence meted out to the captain of the Greek steamship Liesel for bringing refugees into Palestine illegally was confirmed on appeal. A 11,000 fine was remitted. The court granted the prosecution’s appeal for confiscation of the ship.
