Baruch Zuckerman, Poale Zion leader, was honored on Saturday night with a dinner on the occasion of his sailing for Palestine to take up his duties with the Palestine Foundation Fund whose headquarters are in Jerusalem.
The dinner, held at Beethoven Hall, was arranged by the Poale Zion organization.
Mr. Zuckerman will sail for Palestine on September 30th with his family.
Speakers at the dinner included H. Ehrenreich, who was toastmaster; Dr. Yehuda Kauffman of Palestine, Haim Greenberg, I. Mereminski and Golda Myerson of the Palestine Labor Federation; Meyer Brown, General Secretary of the Poale Zion Organization; I. Hamlin, secretary of the Gewerkschaften campaign; L. Segal, general secretary of the Jewish National Workers Alliance; Louis Lipsky, Chairman of the American Palestine campaign and Bernard Deutsch, President of the American Jewish Congress.
