Professor Simon Dubnow, the famous Jewish historian, presided yesterday over a meeting held here of the Executive elected by the Zurich Conference for the Protection of Jewish Minorities.
Nahum Sokolov and Leo Motzkin, President and Acting President of the Executive, Deputy Isaac Gruenbaum of Warsaw, Dr. A. Coralnik of New York, Dr. Alfred Klee, Vice-President of the Berlin Jewish Community, and Deputy Rabbi Nurok of Riga were present. Mr. Motzkin reported on the activities of the Paris office.
A number of questions were discussed, affecting propaganda and financial matters, and conditions in various countries. There was also a discussion concerning a questionnaire on the school system, participation in the Minorities Commission of the Union of League of Nation Societies, the Congress of Minority Nationalities, and the problem of the Staatenlose. The place and time of the next meeting of the Council which is to be held next summer was also discussed. The election of Dr. Krainin and Messrs. Dobry and Gutewitch as members of the Paris Advisory Committee was approved.
